I’m an editor/production artist currently living in Utah. I’m known variously as Jon Boy or as the Amazing Squirrel Boy (or simply Squirrel Boy). I’m passionate about historical linguistics, sociolinguistics, the English language in general, Scrabble, my wife, and my new baby. I have a bachelor’s degree in English language from Brigham Young University and was one class shy of getting a minor in editing. (I already had four years of experience at that point, so I felt it wasn’t worth delaying graduation for.)
If you haven’t already gathered, this is sort of my online home. This is where I blog and rant and hang out with cool folks. Most of the action happens on the forum, but feel free to poke around and explore all the random junk I’ve posted, including the essays on English and linguistics and so on. There’s not a lot there yet, but I’ll get around to writing and uploading more stuff any day now. Yup . . . any day now . . .
