I think it's especially important to have a lesson planned well enough that you can contract it to as short as 20 minutes and expand it to 45 minutes. It's really not that difficult to do. Especially letting people out on time. The thing that I always regretted was when there were topics that were worth talking about in church but not covered in any of the lessons because it's a same to have a good discussion shut down. And admittedly, when the lesson sucked, I was delighted when people would start arguing about inane, irrelevant, unimportant things and completely hijack the lesson. Amen to all that. Especially letting people out on time.
