I've been in the exact same boat, minus the children, but that will soon change. If you worked with me, I wouldn't get upset. Just today one of my patients canceled last minute, and after calling another and making sure she understood I had a sore throat and a minor cold she asked me not to come today. That's 50% of my money for the day gone, and yesterday I didn't even have any work. The situation just won't work as it is, but I have to find a way to make it work somehow.
