Just to be clear, we only call them that online. My mom was a little concerned when Lego was born and she saw what we were calling him, and I had to reassure her that it was just his handle, not a real nickname. It just seemed fitting because his initials are LGO. Similarly, Duplo's initials are DPO, so I figured we'd continue that scheme.

But you do raise a good point, and we've already talked about it. Of course, the problem with Bionicle and Technic and other Lego lines of products is that they don't end in o, so they wouldn't work for initials-based handles that are based on toy lines. Brio might be an option, but I don't think we've discussed any names for either boys or girls that start with b. So I think we'll have to resort to something else for any subsequent kids.

Very nice. I love that you call them Lego and Duplo. Admittedly, I was worried when I first encountered the name Lego--I thought it was short for Legolas. Don't get me wrong; I like Tolkien just fine, but there are lines that should not be crossed. My only concern with calling them Lego and Duplo is that, if you have a third boy, you'll be stuck calling him Bionicle.
