For Those of You Who Have Had to Suffer Through My Winter Poetry

Today
the sun shone,
and its rays
danced
and played
and splashed across my skin
like golden raindrops
falling from an aquamarine sea,
and I swam in its currents
like a silvery fish.

And though the mountains
and the brown grass
still slept beneath a blanket
of white,
for a moment
all was green
and all was alive.
